Yesterday was the day for my second vaccination and I was very impressed with the system set up at the rec centre I attended. Very quick, very efficient and they provided a lot of information to those of us who asked questions. I felt quite comfortable sitting there getting my second shot!
As is usual (they say), side effects may occur. Well yesterday I was very tired and had a nap in the afternoon, then couldn’t fall asleep as quickly as I’d like. My hot flashes became much more intense last night (this was explained to me by other women who had experienced this – I wasn’t surprised but not happy about it!). And today, while I thought I felt okay in the morning, I over exerted myself by taking my grandson for our daily morning walk. This afternoon I had a fever, and was even more tired than yesterday. However, my arm was not as sore as I thought it would be.
It has only been just over 24 hours, and they say other symptoms may occur a few days later – I am thinking positive and hoping for the best!
Get out there and get vaccinated – the sooner we all do this, the sooner we can get back to a somewhat normal life. My 2022 trip plans are looking better and better now that I’ve been fully vaccinated!
