Tonight I thought I’d check out a webinar about ECommerce businesses and how to make lots of money doing it. I went into it very skeptical and my initial instinct was right.
At the beginning it sounded interesting and I was caught up in the exciting stories she was telling us. But then it started dragging on – all she did was talk about all the money she made.
While I believe that this could be a legitimate way to make some money, I just could not believe she was offering “for tonight only” a chance to get in on her secret for only $500 – regularly it would be well over $12,000. Sounds too good to be true so I passed on it.
But it got me thinking – how many people out there are trying to convince people to buy into their ideas for such a low price? I was thinking if everyone who was listening to the webinar signed up, she would have made a boatload of money!
I have tried all sorts of MLM schemes – I’m a sucker I know – but as I have gotten older, I’ve realized that I can’t do that anymore. I don’t have the money to invest and I need to make myself an honest buck.
I wish I hadn’t wasted an hour of my time tonight listening but I’ll chalk it up to a lesson learned in patience. I still like Avon though – I love their stuff!
