French Toast

One of my favourite breakfasts to have is french toast – I’ve loved it since I was a child and it’s an easy thing to make and so delicious!

Loaf of day old french bread (any bread will work but this is the best one)
2 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Whisk the ingredients together. Slice the bread ( I like mine cut thick ). Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil and butter and then dip the bread into the mixture and place in pan. Cook until golden brown on one side, flip and finish cooking. Serve with a dusting of icing sugar and syrup. Quick and easy! Serve with sausage or bacon as well if you wish.
