I’ve been wanting to go for a day trip for a while, so I bit the bullet and rented a car for a couple of days. Today was my day trip and the weather definitely cooperated.
On my way home, I encountered the smoke from the forest fires and the skies were dark and the sun was red. But within minutes I was back in the beautiful blue sky.
It was just what I needed!
The Rockies – a majestic vista that astounds every person who gets to the top to either ski or snowshoe, or do other winter activities.
I went snowshoeing about 8 years ago with some friends in Banff, and it was truly inspiring to stand at the top of the mountain and look out onto the amazing Rockies. It took my breath away. I remember how I had conquered that mountain snowshoeing and that I was in great shape and felt tired but wonderful after that. Just looking at this picture brings back the memories of snowshoeing and then enjoying the most amazing bison burger after with my friends.
I love looking back at pictures and having a memory instantly come back.
